Fonts and typeface

Fonts come in families

e.g.
Arial
Arial condensed
Arial bold
Ariel rounded

Different fonts have different connotations (associated meanings) that relate to the genre or the target audience. Use different fonts when reaching out to different audiences. Also, for the style of writing use different fonts (small headings can be bold and big, writing can be simple and easy to read).

Times New roman - Formal, professional, important, serious, reliable, truthful, has weight, reputation

Arial/calibri - Simple to read and process, assessable, informality, modern, contemporary

Typeface - bold, italics, underline, strike through, condensed, 3D

Serif - Added extra bits on letters
Sans-serif - Without extras
